'Price is high,' Helmut Marko claims many parties interested in acquiring Red Bull’s sister F1 team

With recent developments and a rise in popularity, F1 team’s evaluations have skyrocketed, and the barrier to joining F1 has risen. There were rumors at the start of this season that Red Bull might sell their sister team RB, but the reports were quickly rejected by the Austrian teams’ leaders. The outfit even decided to move its operations to Milton Keynes in order to reduce operational costs.

Despite the rejections there has been greater interest by various parties outside F1 to buy their way onto the grid. Subsequently, Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko has given an insight into the current situation at VCARB.

He looked at the prospect of selling VCARB and has left the decisions on the shoulders of the shareholders. The Austrian also claimed that many parties have shown interest in buying the Faenza-based operation.

There are many interested parties in this matter. At the end of the day, it is a decision that falls to the shareholders. The price is high for a team, but nothing has been decided yet. Helmut Marko said in an interview with Osterreich.

Helmut Marko is weary of Ferrari’s strong pace

Red Bull began the season with the aim of conquering all the races. However, their dreams were shattered when Carlos Sainz took the win in Melbourne where Ferrari seemed to be the pace leader. The Spaniard was also the guy to spoil the dreams for Red Bull in 2023 as well. This strong pace of the prancing horses has made the Austrian skeptical about Red Bull’s pace in the upcoming races.

The 80-year-old was adamant that with the raw pace of Ferrari, they could not rule them out of contention yet. However, with a strong showing in Japan, they seem to have a cushion over any challenges that the F1 gods might throw upon them.

We have only done four races, there are 20 left until the end of the season. In Melbourne, we have already seen how quickly things can change. Ferrari is strong and reliable, we cannot rule them out yet. Helmut Marko said in an interview with Osterreich

Despite this, the Spaniard seems optimistic as he recently mentioned three tracks where Ferrari could pose problems to Red Bull. However, the Austrian giant would be weary of this and be prepared for any challenge in the upcoming races.
